Parry Kitt (lead vocals)
Ben McBride (lead guitar)
Jo Jo Carroll (rhythm vocals)
Dustin Williams (bass)
Philip Shuford (drums)

Hometown: Atlanta, Georgia
Genre: Alternative Rock band with a bit of Pop/Soul
Band: The Silver Comet

Below are their group responses:
1. What inspired you guys to play music?
Our individual love and appreciation for great music and desire to share our passion with others.
2. How has music changed your life?
It has opened doors for us and allowed us to go places together that we could not have went just as a normal group of guys.
3. What bands do you guys listen to and how have they shaped your music?
Incubus, Kings of Leon, and Foo Fighters have all played a huge role in our musical influence and approach to songwriting.
4. What advice do you guys have for others that want to pursue in music as their career?
Find out what you are best at in the industry whether it be management, promotion, or actually being a musician because what you start out doing is not what you typically end up doing as a career path.
5. Where did you guys get the idea for the name of your band?
It comes from a local bike trail called 'The Silver Comet Trail'. It was a catchy name so we decided to go with it.
6. What is your favorite song that you guys made together and why?
It would have to be "End of Me" because it was the first song that we all sat down and wrote together as band. We all contributed to it in one way or another.
7. What do you guys want your fans to know about you that they might not know already?
We have only been together for a year.
8. What are you thinking when you guys are on stage?
Parry-How can I dance harder? Did I try the new dance move I worked on in the living room? (haha)
Jo Jo- I am in my own world.
Philip Shuford- I am really excited and wanting to nail the show.
Ben McBride- Man this is fun!
Dustin Williams- Connecting with the fans and seeing everybody’s reaction to the music.

Interview with Your Turning Point!!!

Here are the members of the band:

George Santee - Vocals
Dillon Cason - Vocals/Guitar
Austin Severns- Guitar/Vocals
Paul Kaspriskie- Bass
Cory Eyerman - Drums

 Genre: Post Hardcore

 Band: Your Turning Point

 Hometown: Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Area, Pennsylvania

 Below are their group responses:

1.  What inspired you guys to play music?
The 5 of us are from a boring corner of Pennsylvania where there is not much to do. Most of the venues in our area are either closing down or changing their management to people who are not really into the local scene as much as we would all like. So, I guess what inspires us is the fact that we all want to play music for people who would appreciate it. We just want to get heard on a larger scale and maybe make some kids smile J
2.  How has music changed your life?
Honestly, giving us all a release of stress. We don't really think that music has changed us. We all have been playing music for a long time, so I don't think it has changed us as much as it has become a part of who we are.
3.  What bands do you guys listen to and how have they shaped your music?
All of us listen to really diverse bands. Our lead guitarist loves Black/Folk Metal like Agalloch and Lunar Aurora. Our other guitarist and drummer are into pop punk like: The Wonder Years and Handguns also, a little bit heavier stuff. Our bassist is into Indie stuff like: The Shins and Ugly Casanova. Between the 5 of us, I think we hit almost every genre, every day. It is really interesting actually to hear the things that come out during our practices.
4.  What advice do you guys have people that want to pursue in music as a career?
If your goal is to be a big and famous band: find a generic image (sadly) and stick to it. Our advice to kids trying to get into music as a career is to play music because you love music.
5.  Where did you guys get the idea for the name of your band?
Dillon used to be in a band named Your Turning Point and they kind of faded out, so we just claimed it after a long session of us throwing thousands of different names around.
6.  What do you want your fans to know about you that they might not know already?
We really just want to have a good time and play our music. We are all just   normal kids from a boring town. We work boring jobs and go to school. What we really want to do is hopefully get a name built for ourselves and play our stuff for as many people as possible.
7.  What do you guys think when you are on stage?
George (Vocals) - Normally I am either thinking "Where is my water?" and "Do I remember the lyrics?"
Austin (Guitar) - I just want to make sure that I remember everything. We have a lot of melodies that match the two guitars so if Dillon or myself are off time, then it is going to sound horrible.
Paul (Bass) - Mostly just figuring out where our cables are at, so I don't trip. I don't want to be 'that kid' on YouTube (haha).
Dillon (Guitar/Vocals) - When I am on stage I am focusing on staying in key and I am listening to everything that is happening. I am constantly picking out flaws in my head.
Cory (Drums) - I always have a tall can of Arnold Palmer somewhere around my feet, so my main thought is normally, "I hope I don't knock that can over!"
8.  What is your favorite cheese? (question made by the band)
Well, there are many amazing cheeses in the world and we appreciate most of them. Smoked Gouda and a fine Swiss are the top runners followed by a sharp cheddar or Muenster. Fresh mozzarella goes well with any cured meat and is enjoying as well. We love all cheese, except for American! Because it is lame and is usually reserved for white trash.

Below are their group responses:

1. What inspired you guys to play music?
Blink 182, Bring Me The Horizon, System of A Down, Earth, Wind, and Fire, My Chemical Romance and many more!

2. How has music changed your life?
Music has changed our lives by inspiring us to appreciate the little things in life and to see more about how music affects each individual fan.

3. What bands do you guys listen to and how have they shaped your music?
We all listen to a lot of different bands from many different styles. We take our influences from those bands and make them into one.

4. What advice do you guys have for others that want to pursue in music as their career?
Christian: Be Open Minded, Don't listen to the haters
Chris: Don't be scared to chase your dreams, never give up
Carlos: Hard work + Patience = Success
Dustin: Don't be Asian. It sucks, there is too many of us
Zack: Don't let the fame get to your head.

5. Where did you guys get the idea for the name of your band?
Carlos: Our name is a joke from a Sexual reference that was made at this party I went to.

6. Which song have you guys written together that you guys like the best and why?
Our song "Plantations" would be our favorite song to play because we all took time to write it. "Plantations" has all of our thoughts and feelings put into it.

Christian's gay.
Chris is really 25 years old.

8. What are you thinking when you guys are on stage?
Christian: I hope I don't have to use the bathroom while we play.
Chris: Showtime :D
Carlos: Why are all these people looking at me? (haha).
Dustin: I hope my fried rice does not get cold while I am here (haha).
Zack: I am so ready for this.

Interview with Raise the Tide!!!

Here are the members of the band:

Alex MacNeil' - Bass / Scream Vocals
Tyler Nicolson - Guitar / Backup Vocals
Scott Leidl - Guitar / Lead Vocals
Colton Huizinga - Percussion / Drums

Genre: Screamo/Hardcore
Band: Raise the Tide
Hometown: Edmonton, AB

1. What inspired you guys to play music?

Throughout all our lives, we have each wanted to play live in a band and be able to get known for our work. It was going to shows and seeing other bands live that really inspired and took hold of our hearts, telling us that playing music is what we born to do. Playing music with the people you love and the people you function with.

2.  How has music changed your life?

The band in general has changed our lives, being able to escape from everything and just stand up there with each other and play our hearts out. It has been an adventure as well as an experience and words can’t describe how badly we hope to keep doing this in the future. Music has made us into who we are today, some black boys rap, some white boys do too, but the stuff we play: that is who we really are.

3. What bands do you guys listen to and how have they shaped your music?

We listen to a variety of bands:  Asking Alexandria, Protest the Hero, Escape the Fate, BMTH, even a little bit of Indy music or T-Swift never hurts. It is the combination of all those genres put together that you get when you listen to our originals. We began thinking that being a metal band would be easy considering its becoming cliché, but after the time we have spent together one can see it is become far more than just metal.

4.     What advice do you guys have for people that want to pursue in music as their career?

Never give up and give it your all. Bands are ALL about money, girls, drugs and drinking. I mean, it is about that most of the time, but not ALL the time. Don’t expect to get big over a couple of years it will take time and perseverance.

5.     Where did you guys get the idea for the name of your band?

We were originally called "Horror on Campus" for our first show; we played with another band called "Submerge the Sky". We were watching them play and saw how close they all were and how much they liked playing music, we took their name, and switched it around (opposite of their words): "Raise the Tide".

6.     What do you guys want your fans to know about you that they might not know already?

I think fans should know that every now and then we would appreciate a good party with some free booze. But more of all, they should know that we aren't cocky like some bands are, if you ever saw us on the street and ran up said "Oh your from RTT", we would not get all sleazy about it because we are a band and we love it so much <3

7.     What do you guys think when you are on stage?

Colton: It is simply a feeling I can’t describe.
Alex: I am thinking wow, here we are.
Tyler: I just feel like I am invincible.
Scott: I am thinking there is no where I would rather be in the world than here right now.

Interview with Jonathon Wolfe (Vocals) of In Vertigo!!!

Here are the members of the band:

Jonathan Wolfe - Vocals

Adam Hayman - Guitar

Mark Ryan - Guitar

William Hathaway - Bass

Cooper Campbell - Drums / Vocals

Band: In Vertigo
Genre: Post-Hardcore/Rock/Experimental
Hometown: Los Angeles, California

Below are his responses:

1. What inspired you to play music?
To this day, it is an answer I have always had trouble asking myself. Ever since I was a child, I was always drawn towards musical instruments. I remember playing with pianos and toy guitars at the ages of three and four and over the years it has evolved into what my life has become. It is odd no one in my family is an actual musician, so it came to everyone as a surprise how drawn to it I had become over the years. When it comes down to it, I guess the feeling that knowing how it affects others is what inspired me to play music. That natural high you feel on stage is just a beautiful and magnificent feeling.

2. How has music changed your life?

It basically has become my life. Music inspired me to leave everything I had behind on the East Coast
and move to a new city across the country completely alone to follow my dreams. Music is the one thing
that keeps me afloat these days and even in the darkest of times, helps me prevail through anything life has thrown at me.

3. What bands do you listen to and how have they shaped your music?
When it comes to bands in similar genres, I listen to many bands from 1998 to 2008 with a few exceptions of newer bands or releases that have blown me away. I grew up listening to bands like Poison The Well, Glassjaw, As Cities Burn, Misery Signals, Acceptance, Terminal, Circa Survive, Beloved, Brand New, Taking Back Sunday, Hopesfall, Hot Cross and so many other bands that really have shaped my musicianship in the most interesting of ways. If it were not for these bands, I would not have learned how to portray certain emotions in certain ways and my writing style would not be the same way.

4. What advice do you guys have for others that want to pursue in music as their career?

It is quite simple:

1. Don't pursue this unless you have a relentless passion for it. Do music for the right reasons and you WILL prevail. There are so many fish in the sea, it's not as easy and as glorious as it seems. Being a musician takes a huge toll on you in every way. You are hardly home, always away from your loved ones, constantly broke, sleeping on floors and etc. If you are not loving what you're doing, you will end up unhappy.

2. Write something different, don't try to be like every band that is out there. You will only get lost in the waves of sound. Be exceptional, be unique, be a REAL musician.

5. Where did you get the idea for the name of your band?
We tried finding a collection of words that would relate towards the theme of this first CD we are releasing.
A sense of losing balance, confusion, and being lost. The word "Vertigo" seemed to ring prominently.
I believe that we as human beings in life on our lives in constant Vertigo. We are all trying to find our way in life, we lose our balance, we become confused, and we are all constantly searching for direction.

6. What do you guys want your fans to know about you that they might not know already?
Something extremely important which we want everyone to understand. As more songs become available to the public, you will notice many references to God in our lyrics. You may begin to ask "Is In Vertigo a Christian Band?" and I would like to answer everyone now and say, no. I am personally a believer in Jesus Christ, but these lyrics do not reflect the band in general. There are "Christians" in the band, but we are not a "Christian Band". I sing about what's closest to my heart and my relationship with Christ is one of those things,
but there is so much more depth to it all than just that. As you read the lyrics you will realize and understand how anyone of any faith or religious preference can relate to these lyrics in both a Secular and Non-Secular way.

7. What are you thinking when you guys are on stage?

William Hathaway (Bass):
What I think about when I go onstage is nothing, to be completely honest.
My mind is clear and focused on the performance. I am not saying that I just go onstage and say,
"Screw it, whatever happens happens." it is more of an out of body experience and I am just watching the show.

Mark Ryan (Guitar):
On stage, I am always thinking to myself,
"what is the best possible way I can convey, through my movement, the surge of emotions that I feel",
as well as the always prevalent reminder of, "don't mess up, don't mess up, PLEASE don't mess up".

Adam Hayman (Guitar):
When I am on stage, I am thinking about the energy of the crowd and the energy maintained within the band and myself. When the crowd is super stoked, it gives us this extra surge of energy which translates into our performance. My mind stays fixed towards the crowds reaction and how I can continue to build up their excitement. At the same time I make sure to keep my ears fixed on the drums at all times
in order to maintain and keep time on the proper rhythm. So that our performance is not only exciting, but as close to perfect as possible.
Jonathan Wolfe (Vocals):
So many thoughts run through my head. I try to make my performance as spot on and as a fun as possible.
I am constantly looking around to see the expressions on other people's faces and that inspires me in those very moments to do something that will catch everyone by surprise and hopefully inspire someone the same way artists made me inspired performing live. Whether it is me stage diving or hanging off of something and being as crazy as possible.
Cooper Campbell (Drums):
I feel a constant reminder of how fortunate I am to be doing what I love.

8. Which song that you guys created is your favorite and why?
Out of all the songs on this EP, my favorite is a song called "Foreign Body". It's a short song, not even 3 minutes long. It serves as an interlude to our single "I Was Once A Sinking Ship"
I love this song because it is so different from everything else on that CD. It is the only song on our set so far where there are three guitars on stage and so much emotion is put into two minutes and thirty seconds. It is a softer song that grows in intensity as the story carries on and you can hear how the emotion rises in intensity as the song moves towards the resolve. It is also the newest song we wrote on that CD.

Now, we have a newer list of songs that we have written and I love them all to death. I cannot wait to share those with you. ;D

Want to know what the band thinks of the fans, when they are jamming on stage? Well if you take 5 minutes out of your life to read this interview you will find the answers very clearly.

Can't stop dreaming of this band at night, no worries because here is a link to connect with the band members on a personal level:

Interview with Lost & Loveless Clothing!!

I saw the clothing line for Lost & Loveless Clothing, but I did not know what they were about and so I had a great opportunity to interview them. I decided to accept that opportunity and I wanted to ask the clothing line questions that really expressed who they are and what is their mission.

You should check out their clothing line because they have really cute cloths that help a good cause:

http://LostAndLoveless.com

The creators of the clothing line are Nick Martin (of the band D.R.U.G.S), Daniel Rubin, Alex Lopez and Noah Russell, they decided to answer the questions together and below are their responses:

1. Where did you guys get the idea for the name of your clothing line and who started this brand?

Alex Lopez, a close friend of mine approached with the idea of this clothing company along with the name. He got it from a movie with Danny Devito in it and it make sense to us, but the name pertained exactly to the message of what we wanted to represent the company as.

2. If you could give me a short bio about what your clothing line is all about, what would you say?

We stand behind the message of loving and helping the people around you. Whether if you know them or not. We promote selflessness <3

3. What organizations do you support/help with the clothing line that you have started?

We launched our first line donating proceeds to an organization called Toys 4 Tots. Planning on working with different organizations with each line or each t-shirt involved. We don't want to limit ourselves to one charity. Trying to provide services and attention to as many different charities as we can.

4. What problems and accomplishments have you guys recieved because of this clothing line?

Have not really come across problems, per say. We have accomplished launching our company, which took a long while to do. We have succeeded in our grassroots efforts to build this company's name from the ground up. Also, receiving praise from within the music community thus far.

5. What is your goal for this clothing brand and what steps have you guys done to get to that goal?

Our goal is to effectively change people's life in a positive manner, which we have already accomplished! To do it on a bigger scale would be amazing though. We are working towards that and realize it will take time, which we are excited to do.

6. What bands/musicians have helped your clothing line reach to many people?

So far we have gotten love and support from Pierce The Veil, DRUGS, We Came As Romans, and At The Skylines to name a few. The list is growing as we speak and we are not going to limit the support as well.

7. How do they decide what fashion goes out for final clothing items?

We just make our decisions based on what we like. The company aims for simplicity in design. You are not going to see us printing extravagant cartoons or neon colored t-shirts. We want to release clean looking designs that cater to a wide array of people.

Interview with Carry On Crows!!!

Here are the members of the band:

Etienne Antoine Tabib-Lead Guitar

Nicholas Rettino-Rhythm Guitar
Matthew Morin-Bass
Daniel Lloyd-Vocals
Aaron Loveday-Drums

Their genre of music: Hardcore/Metal

Below are their group responses:

1. What inspired you guys to play music?

The best answer we can give to that is: Music. Listening to other bands saying what they have to say, playing their own genre and putting their message to the public made us want to be like them. We are always jealous of the ones on stage when we go to a concert we often think : 'That could be me!'

2. How has music changed your life?

It gave every single one of us confidence. Without the music and the band, there is a huge empty hole in our lives. Being able to tell others ' Hey dude! Check my band out!' is one of the best feelings you can get (along with being on stage and listening to your songs).

3. What bands do you guys listen to and how have they shaped your music?

We listen to a whole bunch of stuff it is ridiculous! We like so many different genres! We can go from Get Scared to Born of Osiris and then go back to City and Colour (haha)! Some of our favorites would be The Devil Wears Prada, Oh Sleeper, Underoath, Born of Osiris, Trivium...this list could go on forever! For bands shaping our music: we do not really have any band that we can call an influence cause we really try to be our own thing even though it is extremely hard to. I mean, there is only twelve notes in music! Without noticing it we would sometimes write something and then days, weeks, months after we would notice it sounds like that part of this song and this happens to pretty much every band out there. You are what you listen to!

4. What advice do you guys have for others that want to pursue in music as their career?

First thing we would like to say is: Never drop out of high school! If you screw up in your musical career and have dropped out of school. Well you can't go back and have a good academic education. Moving on, everyone says the music industry is all about luck. That's not exactly it, you make your own luck! Reaching out and getting contacts is the only way to make it in the industry. You can't always play music in your basement and expect that somehow you will magically get a show or a tour! You are the one who has to find and talk to the people, who can help you make it out there. You make your own luck. One last tip: Prepare for the worst, hope for the best.

5. Where did you guys get the idea for the name of your band?

There are two stories to this:
First one is we found it would be a really sick name because the name itself is a word puzzle! Carrion (meaning carcass of a dead animal), is what crows feed on. We thought it would be cool for the band name to Carrion Crows cause it was Dark, but then our bassist Matt realized we could make a really cool word puzzle by putting Carry On Crows instead of Carrion Crows.

A few months later, we were watching a movie called 'The Crow'. The oppening scene from this movie starts with a little girl talking and she says 'People used to believe that when someone dies, a crow carries their soul to the land of the dead.' We thought that we could relate this to our band name. Pretty cool, right?

6. What do you guys want your fans to know about you that they might not know already?

Get ready for this! When our lead guitarist Etienne joined the band, he was only 14 years old! He is 15 now, not that it makes that much of a difference. That is still a shock to most people. For the rest there is nothing to hide. We are five best friends doing what we love to do most together.

7. What are you guys thinking when you are on stage?

Daniel Lloyd (Vocals) :

"Lyrics!!" (haha) making sure I am singing/screaming the right thing at the right time. Ah, when you know your songs quite well, it comes naturally. I basically get into an aggressive state of mind to get the most emotion out when I scream

Etienne 'ET' Tabib (Lead Guitar):

"The World is Mine." (haha). It is hard to really think about much when your on stage, there is so much going on! Lights in your face, people smiling at you and taking pictures and of course playing your music. On stage, I just try to be as awesome as i can!

Aaron Loveday (Drums):

Getting on stage I think about everything I have to do, like the way I act, the way I play and it makes me nervous. About 2 minutes into playing on stage I forget all this and unleash what I was born to do, my real passion, my joy: playing the drums.

Matthew Morin (Bass):
When I step on the stage, the nerves are at their highest, but once the house lights go off and the stage lights get turned on they all go away. As soon as the first note is played I forget about them and just focus on playing music and having fun, plus putting on a good show. It is nice to see everyone in the crowd have a good time along with us.

Nicholas Rettino (Rythm Guitar):

Well I think about what I need to be playing and a lot of other things too, but the most important is that I just try and focus on having fun. I feel that the biggest possible way you can get the crowd into the music you are playing is by having fun and trying to get them to have fun. If I can accomplish that on stage for every show I play I will feel like I have done my job and that to me is what really matters.

Interview with Tolan Shaw!!!

Tolan Shaw is doing a solo project and is a (acoustic/pop/rock) musician from San Diego, CA. Also, Danny Rubenstein has helped write and preform the new tunes from time to time in order to help Tolan Shaw. I want to give him as much support as I can. So I thought to myself to see what would be the best way of doing that and I felt like interviewing him would really capture who he is as a musician.

Here is a facebook link to his music page: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Tolan-Shaw-Music/218921591453559?ref=ts&sk=app_178091127385#!/pages/Tolan-Shaw-Music/218921591453559

A link to his music: http://www.myspace.com/thenewarchaicmusic

Below are his responses to my questions I made specifically for him:

1. What inspired you to play music?
I did the usual routine as a youngun. Took the typical 2 years of piano when I was 10 and I rejected it because it was not 'cool' enough. My dad has played in cover rock bands for my whole life and I have always gone to shows and danced. I had an interest in music or at least rock music. The defining moment was freshman year of high school when my dad finally played Jimi Hendrix's 'Are You Experienced?' (album) for me. I remember sitting down and listening to the entire album straight through and thinking "I HAVE to play electric guitar". After I began, it was like a whole new dimension of life opened up and it became SO much more than a medium to 'look cool'. A way to channel the creativity that I had always had, but did not know how to harness. So, Jimi Hendrix was the key.
2. How has music changed your life?
The introduction of guitar to my life became a way for creativity to flow. After picking up the basics of theory, chords, etc, and learning cover songs, I began to mess around and write music. Today is the number one most important thing to me in life (song writing). I get a thrill out of it unlike anything else. I find myself losing hours and hours thinking about absorbing myself in songwriting. Often to the despair of my girlfriend and mom, who get quite annoyed at times with my lack of focus (on conversation, etc.), I am really just creating constantly, whether it be with a guitar in hand or just in my mind. Also, I have never been a technical or theoretical musician. As much as I would love to learn everything about theory that there is to know, I am much more about the ear, the feel, and the creative side of music. For me, listening to a song and learning it by ear is FAR easier and quicker than reading notation or tabs. So I spend a lot of time listening, learning, and analyzing music as well-- 3, 4, and 5 part vocal harmony. It is based on the 'musical ear' has been my latest obsession. I hope to incorporate a lot of that in my upcoming album.
Music, honestly has almost become something equally as spiritual as entertaining. It is the best thing ever!
3. What bands do you listen to and how have they shaped your music?
Ooooh that is an extremely tough question :) I have gone through so many phases and obsessions since, I started really listening (analyzing) music. All of those bands contribute a certain amount to my 'style' now. For instance, Jimi Hendrix and all the classic 60s and 70s bands that my dad introduced me to really created the passion for electric guitar and just raw electric rock. Bands like Led Zeppelin, The Beatles, Cream, The Doors, Creedence, Janis Joplin. All the classic rock bands that everyone thinks of. I also got really into guitar shredders like Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, and John Petrucci (Dream Theater). Though I don't really listen to them at all, I still return to them for inspiration once in awhile and some good ole shredding. Then I really got into acoustic music and more mellow songwriting, as well as vocal harmonies, and simultaneously I began an obsession with old soul music. Guys like: Sam Cook, James Brown, Smokie Robinson, among many others. The current 'stage' I am in is kind of this mix between bluesy-soul past and new rock/alternative/indie bands that use a lot of vocal harmony. Fleet Foxes, Grizzly Bear, The Black Keys (not much vocal harmony, but badass band), Band of Horses, Bon Iver, Good Old War, to name a few.
My music now is kind of a weird mix between those newest influences and my songwriting consists of two sort of distinct styles; the soul/blues songs and the singer/songwriter acoustic tunes that many times are written for vocal harmony.
4. What advice do you have for others that want to pursue in music as their career?
Well, I am not sure that I should necessarily be one to give out advice quite yet. I am definitely going to pursue music and songwriting as a career, but have by no means 'made it' at all as a musician. But with that said, I think if you want to pursue a career in music, the goal can't be to 'pursue a career in music.' I think the passion, the excitement of creating new songs, and the overwhelming sense of 'being in the moment' while playing music will speak for itself. In other words, if you truly want music to happen for you, just do what you love, don't let other people's words and criticisms have any effect on your art. Also, don't take events that come (good and bad) extremely seriously. Granted, there needs to be good music and a substantial amount of effort and self-promotion to 'get out there,' but if it is done genuinely and with the purpose to simply do what you love, it will more likely happen.
5. What do you want your fans to know about you that they might not know already?
Hmmmm... I am currently on a 7 month song-writing journey through Central and South America. Traveling is my number one biggest inspiration for song-writing! I and I am sure most people find it the most spiritually and sense-stimulating thing there is. I have written close to 15 songs after 5 months, many of which will appear on my next recordings.
6. What are you thinking when you are on stage?

'Wow, that girl is insanely cute..' (haha).
No, When I first get on stage, whether it is in front of 3 or 1000 people there are always nerves and petty little self conscious thoughts that are unavoidable for me. But after the first song, all thoughts literally cease. I think that right there is when I know that music is what I was made for. Everything else does not matter and nothing passes through my head other than maybe what to say to the crowd in between songs, but really, when thoughts cease on stage... that is music.

Below are their group responses:

1. What inspired you guys to play music?

Seeing all these other bands on stage and doing what they love made us want to be apart of that atmosphere, where we can be ourselves. Where we can go all out and not hold anything back and just have fun.

2. How has music changed you life?

It makes life a whole lot more interesting that, is for sure!
No matter what mood you are in there is something for you. It is really fascinating how far music has come. I honestly do not know where we would be without music.

3. What bands do you guys listen to and how has it shaped your music?

We are all pretty big fans of Woe Is Me, The Plot In You, My Ticket Home, Like Moths To Flames... etc. You can definitely hear the Like Moths To Flames/The Plot In You feel in our first song "Like Clockwork". It is just really "bouncy" and aggressive. In our intro "Sequences" you can hear the Woe, Is Me, feel to it. Just the programming with a quick breakdown and deep lyrics. Jordan and Justice mostly write the lyrics and we are mostly inspired by Woe, Is Me. Their lyrics really speak to us.

4. What advice do you guys have for people that want to pursue music as their career?

Just don't give up. Don't ever let someone tell you, you can't. Keep pushing forward with what you love. Music is expression. Express yourself and don't let other people get to you. I am sure many people don't like our music. That won't ever stop us or even slow us down in the slightest bit.

5. Where did you guys the idea for the name of your band?

Actually that is a funny story. Justice was kicking back with his mom and his mom was watching a soap opera, maybe "The Young & The Restless". During one scene a girl was dreaming about something. She was having a nightmare, but at the same time she was not. Something came up with her boyfriend, and somehow he came up with "Before The Dreamer" (haha).

6. What do you want your fans to know about you that they might not know already?

We are all real dudes. We stand up for what we believe in. We love you all for who you are and nothing can ever change that. No matter the race/religion/etc, you are you and we love you :)

7. What do you guys think when you are on stage?

Justice: It is a blessing being up there doing what you love. All these kids come out from anywhere and blowing off whatever plans they had prior to spend the time and money to come see us. It is a great feeling.

Jordan Scott: As Justice said, it is just a great feeling knowing people come out to see you. It is a great feeling being up on stage in front of friends and the people we love, doing what we love. In my opinion, its the best feeling ever. I would not trade it for the world.

Justin: I have never played a show, but if I did I would say that I would feel excited and really honored to have that opportunity.

Jordan Duffourc: I think about the song I am playing.

Before The Dreamer wants everyone, no matter their race, ethnicity, etc. to enjoy their music and have the chance to listen to it because my friends a legend is being born. Like their facebook page and check out this sick interview because my questions are so legit :)

Interview with Last In Line!!!

Here are the members of the band:

Jake Singer- Vocals
Jon Kraft- Guitar
Blake Feaser- Guitar
Shayne McCracken- Bass
Caleb Peachey- Drums

Bands twitter page to get connected with them:

@LASTINLINEPA

Below are their group responses:

1. What inspired you guys to play music?

We have all pretty much wanted to play music since a young age. We all had bands that inspired us to pick up a guitar/bass/drums etc.
2. How has music changed your life?

We all eat/sleep/breathe music and have shaped our aspirations around it. It has affected all of us in positive ways.

3. What bands do you guys listen to and how have they shaped your music?

Four Year Strong, A Day To Remember, Blink 182, Chunk! No, Captain Chunk!, City Lights, August Burns Red, Texas In July- All these bands have had an impact in some way or another on our music. As hard as it is in the current music scene, we try to go for our own style. These bands have definitely inspired and influenced us on how we look at the music world.

4. What advice do you guys have for others that want to pursue in music as their career?

Do what you love. It does not matter if it is music or something else, if you love something go after it. No matter what anyone else says!! As the great sexy Justin Beiber would say "Never Say Never" (no homo lol)

5. Where did you guys get the idea for the name of your band?

Our bassist Shayne, was throwing out band names one day and Last In Line kind of just stuck. It does have meaning though because we think that we are considered the "last in line" trying to pursue a music career and not a desk job. Nobody really respects you if you tell them you want to be in a band for your career.

6. What do you guys want your fans to know about you that they might not know already?

1. We are actually 10x sexier in real life than our pictures.
2. Blake (our rhythm guitarist) is a super ripped body builder, but we edited him in our pictures so that he would fit in.
3. We all love coffee and make it a point to find the craziest flavored creamers at the grocery store.
4. We LOVE meeting people and talking to our fans. We are always open to having full on conversations with anyone.

7. What are you thinking when you guys are on stage?
Blake- Honestly, I try not to think about anything the minute I am up on stage.  I just try to clear my head, scope out the crowd, and concentrate on my stage presence. By the end of the set, I am thinking constantly about what people thought about us and try and get people's feedback when I can!!

Jon - My main focus when I am on stage is making sure I play everything perfect. I want to ensure that I hit every single note. At the same time, I am working on getting the crowd involved as much as possible. I love taking the stage and playing the songs we have worked so hard on!!

Jake-
I don't think to much about anything, I just try to have fun. I do sometimes wonder what we sound like to the audience, but I get into the zone when I get on stage.

Shayne- I am always looking at the crowded seeing who's into it and who's not. Also, I am thinking about what vocal parts I have coming up, so I can remember to get to the mic in time.

Caleb- Do I have any food left in the fridge?

Last In Line takes singing and music to a whole new level because not only do they have a killer body as they say, they also can sing great. What else in the world matters beyond that? :) So, here are their facebook page link and twitter name: @LASTINLINEPA

Interview with This Is Breathing!!!!

Here are the members of the band and a way to connect with them:

Bands twitter page:
http://twitter.com/#!/thisisbreathing

Dan Rudd-Guitar/Vocals
(@thedanrudd)

Phillip Berg-Guitar
(@pheelipberg)

Alex Bock-Bass
(@thisisitalex)

Sten Nisswandt-Drums
(@stennisswandt)

Below are their individual responses:

1. What inspired you guys to play music?

Dan: “Music inspired me to write music!” (lol)

Phillip: “My friends started playing instruments in middle school and I thought it was the coolest thing ever, so I picked up a guitar and started playing piano. The rest is history :). Of course my friends, family, and everyone in our lives. We want to give people: an escape from the world, something to relate to, and be their favorite band one day.”

Alex: “I grew up around music all my life and so it grew on me from there!”

2. How has music changed your life?

Alex: “It has changed my life by giving me something to go to. During high school, I was never really someone who was super popular or anything like that and music got me through it all. Everyone else always worked hard to get really good grades and go to the college of their dreams, but for me, I was always working on music because I decided that is what I wanted to do with my life!”

Dan: “It has given me an outlet to go to when things happen in my life!”

Phillip: “Music changed my life basically by giving me a life that is constantly on the move. Music has become my life! I can't imagine doing something else or going to school. It also gives me a chance to travel, which is my life goal to travel as much of the world as possible.”

3. What bands do you guys listen to and how have they shaped your music?

Dan: “Yellowcard and Fall Out Boy were the big ones that started to shape my music writing!”

Alex: “I was listening to bands like green day, sum 41, blink 182, cartel etc... all these bands have somewhat of a similar style. Each one has their own different edge. We don’t want to be them, we just want to give our music a different edge that could separate us from the rest.
A breath of fresh air :)."

Phillip: “We pretty much all share a liking for the bands mentioned. You could also throw in All Time Low for me personally. As odd as it may seem, Metallica, Taylor Swift, A Day to Remember, Eminem, Maroon 5, One Republic on top of the mentioned pop rock bands. They really help shape music that I write and contribute as far as structure, the musicianship as opposed to the actual sound!”

4. What advice do you guys have for others that want to pursue in music as their career?

All: “GO BIG OR GO HOME! Put it all on the table, if it is your dream and passion go after it. Give it a shot and put everything into it. Also, have fun and experience your music. It is a lot of work, work, work, and more work. Be prepared to have it consume your life and hopefully it will pay off!”

5. Where did you guys get the idea for the name of your band?

Phillip: “Well, I was learning to ride a bike a couple summers ago and I saw a really pretty girl. She took my breath away. So I started singing that Jessica Simpson song from Top Gun, “Take my Breath Away” (breaks out into the chorus…)

Dan and Alex: ….

Phillip: “…and from there, one thing lead to another and I was like... whoa… breathing… this is breathing. The concept of breathing and was totally stoked as if I made a great discovery”

Conversation continues (lol):

Alex: “I don’t think that is actually how we got the name..” (lol)

Phillip: “Hey… you left this to me to answer..”

Dan: “ Alex, we’ll just got with it.” (lol)

6. What do you guys want your fans to know about you that they might not know already?

Alex: “That our fans are the most important thing, without you guys we would not be able to do any of this. We are all just normal guys working everyday to put something together for all of you to enjoy!!

Dan: “Our lives are work and music! ”

Phillip: “Alex can’t swim. Like literally, he sinks… he needs floaties to go into the deep end” (lol)

Alex: “Shut up.. not my fault!”

7. What are you thinking when you guys are on stage?

Dan: “Oh crap, I shouldn't have ate right before we played..”

Alex: “How can we put on the best show..”

Phillip: “How can I make Dan mess up.”  I am generally in la la land while playing to be honest!

The story of how they got their name is so sweet, you should just read this interview because of that. On a serious note, they really helped me connect with my love for music again after hearing them play. So listen to This Is Breathing and like their page because they might make your heart stop a beat :)

Interview with Meital Dohan!!!

Meital is an Israeli-born singer and actress who has been on The Sopranos and Weeds and now has a hot and hilarious new video out for her single, Yummy Boyz. You should check out her video here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4cy3CCG8Q78&feature=youtu.be

Below are her responses to the questions I asked her:

1. What inspired you to play music?

I think music has always inspired me as an artist. One day you are inspired and writing songs down in a notebook and humming melodies to yourself, the next day you are in a recording studio. I don't really do things half-assed. I do them all the way. So for me the inspiration has always been there, but when I met my producer Che Pope and he believed in what I was about/inspired to do - that's when I said: "ok, I have to really take this to the next level and bring it to life".

2. How has music changed your life?

They say music is the universal language and I think there is a lot of truth to that old cliche. The way people respond to music is very visceral. They tap their feet, snap their fingers, sway their hips. This visceral response is really what motivates me. It is the non-verbal dialogue. Action - music. Reaction - dance. That is the cause and effect that really gets me going.

3. Where did you get the idea for the single: Yummy Boyz?

Didn't you see the video online? Aren't you constantly stalking my YouTube channel? It all started when I tasted some soap in the bathtub one night and I thought to myself, "well isn't that yummy!"
On a serious note we are living in an era where woman gain so much power from expressing their sexuality and portraying men as sexual objects, similar to the way women are in society.
4. What do you listen to and how has it shaped your music?
I like to listen to a whole smorgasbord of sounds. We are talking everything from dance to classical, hip-hop, Billie Holiday, Nina Simone, Edith Piaf, the soundtrack to Pedro Almodóvars Talk to Her, Air, Radio Head, Kanye West, and Eminem.  My taste in music is diverse and I am creating music for people to dance to, cry to, or listen to in the car while they drive.

 5. If you could describe your life in one word what would it be?
Fabulous.

6. What advice would you give to people that want to be part of the entertainment industry for their career?

Can't you think of something more original to do with your life? Just kidding.
I would say do it if you think you can't be a normal person.
If you can't be the kind of person that goes to a job every morning and has a set schedule with a set routine. Oh and if you're super passionate and talented. Then yes, by all means go for it. And wear a helmet, too (haha).

7. What do you want your fans to know about you that they might not know already?

I have secret powers. I can levitate stuff, fly, and move water just by looking at it (haha). Concentration. Intense concentration is the key.

Something that you might not know about Meital Dohan is that she has a sense of humor, but when it comes down to the stuff that she is passionate about she gets right down to business. Everyone should check out her single Yummy Boyz: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4cy3CCG8Q78&feature=youtu.be I am very fortunate to interview a star that was on The Sopranos and The Weeds.
