Interview with Legacy!!!!

Here are the members of the band:

Gabe Lopez - Vocals
Lupe Lopez - Guitar/Clean Vocals
Chris Goins- Guitar
Devon Mezinger - Bass
Kirby Hurst - Drums

Here are the questions I asked them and below are the group answers:

1. What inspired you guys to play music?

I think we all just have a strong love for music in general.  Playing
music is just something we all love to do. Meeting new people and
Traveling are also something that we have all dreamed of doing.

2. How has music changed your life?

In so many ways! To many to even say. Music is a good stress outlet
for one, helped us through some hard times in life, and lets us pour
our hearts out to anyone that will listen. Having friends in
different states is definitely something that was a big change too!

3. What bands do you guys listen to and how have they shaped your music?

We all listen to a wide variety of bands. That has a huge effect on
the sound of Legacy. I feel like we have a wide range of capability's.
Bands like As I Lay Dying, Parkway Drive, August Burns Red, to even
bands like Oceana and Underoath.

4. What advice do you guys have for others that want to pursue in music as
their career?

Have the heart and drive to overcome any obstacle that's in the way of
you and your dream! There will be obstacles! Its not easy and you
will have to sacrifice many things, and put in a lot of hard work. In the
end, if it is really what you want to do, nothing can stop you, except you.

5. Where did you guys get the idea for the name of your band?

We just wanted a strong name that represented what we wanted to do
with this band and our lives.

6. What do you want your fans to know about you that they might not
know already?

Some of us are actually really shy and socially awkward. We have a
bad habit of sticking to ourselves and it is hard for us to put
ourselves out there to strike up a conversation. We really do love to
meet new people and we promise we are nice guys! We would never blow
someone off and we are always willing to talk to everyone, plus anyone.

7. What do you guys think when you are on stage?

We all are just wondering if the crowd will dig us or not. Every
show going all out on stage, hoping people will get into us and have
a good time!

Legacy is a band that connects with their fans, loves what they do, and sing with their heart out.  Other bands should look up to Legacy and realize that in order to be the next big thing you have to truly love the people that listen to your music.

Interview with Persistence in Flames!!!

Here are the members of the band:

*Vocals:* Jacob Moore
*Guitar:* Michael Childress
*Guitar:* Aaron Terry
*Bass:* Trevor Spivey
*Drums:* Billy Yates

Here are the questions I asked them and below is their group responses:

1. What inspired you guys to play music?

Well, when we were all just coming into high school the music scene in our home town was flourishing and we had friends in bands who kind of talked us in to giving it a try (haha). It is kind of funny thinking back to our first show, we were pretty much forced to play and stopped halfway through the only song we had written. So I suppose we could blame our music on peer pressure!!! (haha)

2. How has music changed your life?

Being in a band and playing music is like nothing else in the world. Through music we have gained a family, unforgettable experiences, friends, enemies, love, a career, and so much more. Without music, we literally would not be who we are today :).

3. What bands do you guys listen to and how have they influenced your music?

The beauty of our band is that we draw influence from so many different bands and genres. Are members draw influence from such different sides of the music spectrum it is almost unreal. We listen to it all from slipknot to pearl jam, Katy Perry and of coarse your metal icons: Whitechappel, As I Lay Dying, Job For a Cowboy, Underoath, and pretty much anything you can think of (haha)

4. What advice do you guys have for others that want to pursue in music as a career?

For those seeking to pursue a career in music, if you can help it, don't; and if you can't, then you have what it takes to go all the way. Not to say that we have made it by any means, but we have no intention of stopping any time in the foreseeable future. People are gonna tell you that you can't do it and the hardest part of this path is telling yourself that you can.

5. Where did you guys get the idea for the name of your band?

Initially, we just kind of came up with something that we thought sounded cool, but now we have found meaning in the title. Here is the spule: There is nothing more persistent than a dying flame. That is something that we consider to be the philosophy of our band, a flame will fight for it to stay alive, until it is completely extinguished and even if it is cut down to a mere ember, it has the capability of starting another raging fire. So in a round about way, Persistence in Flames means never give up.

6. What do you want your fans to know that they might not know already?

We are frequent Ihop eaters and players of Nazi Zombies. We also give really lame names to everything. For instance, our practice space is called the Caddy Shack. We are nerds :)!!!

7. What do you guys think about when you are on stage?

Jacob- Before I go out on stage, I like to think of ways to get the crowd pumped up and in doing so, I pump myself up.

Billy- I try to go over the set list one more time in my head and hope to God that Michael and Aaron don't miss their cues.

Spivey- I like to think of how far we have come and really stop to appreciate the friends and fans that we have gained. Plus, I think about how much I would love to impress them in every show we preform in.

Aaron- I really just get super stoked to be on stage in front of people. The possibility of breaking a string is also always on my mind.

Michael- I just think of the first notes that we play and hope for a great response from the crowd (haha).

Persistence in Flames gives the best advice to people all over the world through their music and just one inspirational things that I got from them was:

People are gonna tell you that you can't do it and the hardest part of this path is telling yourself that you can.

Since, Persistence in Flames helps boost our emotional well being, we should boost their ego by liking their Facebook page because their music will help you realize that being who you are is the right way to live your life :)

Interview with Lucy Levinsohn (Vocals) for Evolove!!!

Here are the members of the band:

Lucy Levinsohn (vocals)
Billy Berman (bass)
Dave C (Guitar)
Colby Jensen (Guitar)

Lucy Levinsohn is representing Evolove!!!!

Here are the questions and below are her responses:

1. What inspired you to play music?

Both my parents were very musical.  I have been feed a healthy dose of Rock N Roll since birth (haha). In elementary school I joined the band and I have never looked back.

2. How has music changed your life?

Music is what drives me. Its hard to say how music has changed my life because it was always there. I guess if I did not have music I might have been a little more normal :)

3. What bands do you listen to and how have they shaped your music?

My musical taste varies A LOT!!!! Currently, I listen to a lot of Rise Against, A Day To Remember, and I mix it up with a little Adele and Kesha.  Some of my earlier influences are stuff my parents introduced me too, like Tom Petty and U2. I am drawn to great lyricts and energetic lead singers.

4. What advice do you have for others that want to pursue in music as their career?
DON'T DO IT!  I'm only half joking. Unless music is ALL you want in life, I would suggest any other career path. Music takes 100% dedication and does not generally have a great paycheck attached.  Educate yourself in the business, learn your craft, network, and never give up.

5. Where did you get the idea for the name of your band?

I wanted a band name that was a palindrome. Using the word Love, I found our bands name.  It is very fitting because it is our never ending love of music that propels us.

6. What do you want your fans to know about you that they might not know already?
We are pretty open with our fans. I'm not sure what they don't already know.  I open the door to any questions our fans have.  Got a question? Hit us up online.

7. What is racing through your mind before you go on stage?
My mind is racing all the hours before the show: Is the set list done? Is the guest list in order?

Right before we actually hit the stage the only thing going through my mind is putting on a great show!!!

Evolove is a band that you know you want to like on Facebook because they are so unique. By listening to their music you will know what I am talking about. Lucy tells all about what Evolove is about and so if you want to get to know more about a band that likes creativity, then check out Evolove!!!

Interview with Dawn of the Hero!!!

Here are the members of the band:

Kyle Pipino: Voice/7 String
Neil Schneider: Drums
Taylor Stinson: 7 string
Dave Greene: 6 string

Here are the questions and below are their group responses to them:

1. What inspired you guys to play music?

I think all of us have had different experiences. For Neil and I(Kyle) it was pretty much older siblings that got us involved with music and we both started really young. I think all of us just love music and how it makes
people feel. It made us feel a certain way that inspired us enough to pick up an instrument, learn songs, put hours of dedication into something. A force powerful enough that motivates us to do the extraordinary. Music is enough of an inspiration on it's own. I feel like people forget that especially nowadays.
2. How has music changed you life?

Making us crazy enough to keep doing what we do (haha). It has changed each of us in many different ways. It gave each of us happiness, hope, something to focus on, and even a purpose in life. Music is an addiction once it gets you, it consumes the rest of your life, which is (for the most part) an amazing thing to have.
3. What bands do you listen to and how have they influenced your music?

We have a ridiculously diverse taste in music. We all listen to everything from Cannibal Corpse, A Day To Remember,Immortal, John Coltrane, Lady gaga etc. The list is infinite. Each of us obviously have our specific tastes, but at the end of the day we have many gray areas that inter-lap. In our minds it is either good music or bad music. Doesn't matter the genre, good polka is good polka. So with all this abundance of music we ingest, our style is the direct product of this naturally. So when people hear us for the first time they go "What the fuck am I listening to?" (haha) and we all enjoy that very much. We like being different and having people embrace us or despise us. We have a fundamental metal sound that has sprinkles of all these other musical ideas and borrows from other genres to mix it together to make Dawn Of The Hero. This has been done before and is still being done, but what we want to do to make ourselves stand out is to make our OWN sound and not just a mess of ideas put together. We have a feeling attached to our music and we make sure we keep that going.
4. What advice do you guys have for others that want to pursue in music as a career?

The most valuable advice I can think to give anyone is to make sure you TRULY and HONESTLY love music. If that is a yes I believe you don't need much else more. Everything else comes back to that simple idea. When you love something so much, the passion and drive can push you through anything. It is much simpler than we all think. The hard work, dedication, time spent, being broke, playing to hundreds of people, playing to five in a run down bar, (haha) it doesn't matter, if you love music everything is just part of your love and is a part of your gig to bring you one step closer to your goals.

5. Where did you guys get the idea for the name of your band?

Well originally we went under a different name for about 4 years when we started. Finally towards
the end of high school, we decided to change our name for various reasons. So upon loads and loads of
shitty names and some good ones, I remembered a band that I was in with an old buddy of mine. We were called Dawn Of The Hero. The way we came up with the name at the time was that I thought of my favorite band and favorite movie, so I put them together. At the time I said Protest The Hero and Dawn Of The Dead. Mix the two together and what do you get you get? Yupp you guessed it, Good old DOTH. So eventually that band faded out like all little projects do, but I still loved the name. So I said what the hell and we nabbed it from the old band. Also, I felt like it made sense for us. It represented our music, which has a "triumphant" vibe to it and we were starting fresh/new. We made it our name and have been for over a year
now.

6. What do you guys want your fans to know about you that they might not know already?

That they mean more than they will ever know. Everyone of them around the world, it is just crazy to see the amount of people from all these different places say how our music makes them want to rock the fuck out. We never want to be that band that pushes away our fans or does not acknowledge their support everyday. We do and we try our hardest to make that vocal. We are a crazy bunch of dudes and do a crazy bunch of things, but we love our fans to death. I don't even like calling them fans, they are just a bunch of badass friends from many different places. It is just humbling to know that we have been doing this for just over a year, all of us in this band haven't even reached 20 yet, but some guy in Israel says my music, words, blood sweat and tears has made him feel better about his life. It is insane and thank you from the bottom of our hearts, Cheers.

7. What do you guys think when you are on stage?

Dave- "They paid for a show, so give them a show"

Neil- "Don't drop a stick dumbass"

Taylor- "I'm gunna go up there, jump around, and hope they like it"

Kyle- "Lets play this show like it is the last goddamn thing we do"
Dawn of the Hero is a band that says it all because they produce music that everyone can hear, even if to your parents you are not the "hero" in the family. Dawn of the hero wants everyone to know that fans to them are really close friends that they would like to meet in real life one day.

Interview with Never Look South!!!

Here are the members of the band:

Slocki: Clean Vocals
Elijah: Vocals
Jose: Lead Guitar/Keyboard
David aka - ~Something: Bass
Chelsea: Drums

Here are the questions I asked them and below are their group responses:

1. What inspired you guys to play music?

What inspired some of our members to play music was family. Other inspiration was just the music itself, an amazing thing that we can all agree to always enjoy doing.
2. How has music changed your life?

Music has made us realize what is real in this world, the struggles we deal with, and has changed our attitude/perspective of the world. Some of us even quit watching television and became more dedicated/passionate about improving in our music.

3. What bands do you guys listen to and how has it influenced your music?

August burns red for the technical rhythms, the drummers and guitars use of course. Escape the Fate, Of Mice & Men and A Day To Remember would really describe us because of the pop/punk melodies and singing, mixed with an aggressive heavier sound.

4. What advice do you guys have for others that want to pursue in music as a career?

Some advice for other's pursing music is practice, never give up of course. It is gonna require tons of patience. If someone has nothing supportive to say, ignore it. You are talented and don't let someone ever tell you that you can't do something. Especially if you are in that "metal/core" scene, strive for it. If Bring Me The Horizon and A Day To Remember can go big with all their haters, so can you.. :)
5. Where did you guys the idea for the name of your band?

Our guitarist Jose suggested Never Look North, then our current vocalist Elijah talked it over and they both decided Never Look South because you should never look down to yourself. Always look forward and keep your head up with faith in yourself.

6. What do you guys want your fans to know about you that they might not know already?

That we are all closer than it seems, although we go to different schools we treat each other like a family. Also, that even though we are in a Post-hardcore band does not mean we are not open up to different styles of music. We enjoy all genres of music from the 70's, 80's and 90's.
7. What do you guys think when you are on stage?

Chelsea: That I inspire other girls to prove guys wrong, we can also be great muscians.

David: If I forget the music; play open, and if Jose is moving at all. -_-

Slocki: Chelsea what are the words to the song, how does the song go?!

Elijah: Never usually get nervous about performing, usually get nervous on how the crowd is going to react. So no matter what, get the crowd to go wild. The best way is with a good 'ol transform musical talent :)

Never Look South wants you to never look back on who you are and make each day a step towards the real you, no matter if you have people telling you other wise. So with this inspiration advice that they gave us, you should like their page because it is a step towards your dream if you do :)

Interview with UntitledWeStand!!!

Here are the members of the band:

Chris - Vocals
Alexander - Bass
Sam - Guitars
Patrick -Vocals/Guitars
Kory - Drums

Here are the questions I asked them and below are their responses:

1. What inspired you guys to play music?

We all come from families that are musically gifted, it runs in our blood! Our families inspired us to reach other people and let them know there not alone because they understand our love for music!2. How has music changed your life?

That is a question that has over a million answers to it.. (haha), but to sum it up we all came from a town with nothing to do, but get in trouble. So music was our way of getting away from everybody and giving us
hope that one day will be free from this place.
Live the life we all dream of and lets play our music all over the world!
3. What bands do you guys listen to and how have they shaped your music?

Wow..ummm well we all listen to pretty much anything! We are very opened minded and like to come up with new and catchy things to add to our music! Some of our bands that we are really into right now are: THE AIR I BREATH, THE PLOT IN YOU, A DAY TO REMEMBER, CLOSE TO HOME, AUGUST BURNS RED and the list could keep on going..(haha).

4. What advice do you guys have for others that want to pursue in music as their career?

Don't ever give up!! It is not going to be easy! We can all say we have been there and stuck it out, every time we did something, good came out of it. Weather it was landing a great show or coming up with a new song!Haters are going to hate no matter what!

5. Where did you guys get the idea for the name of your band?

This is a question that we ask ourselves everyday! (haha). Pretty much this band started out just a little garage band with no intentions of going anywhere, but everybody asked what our name was and somebody said you guys are untitled, we just kinda went with it (haha). So UntitledWeStand was formed!!!
6. What do you want your fans to know about you that they might not know already?

We don't like to call people fans we are no different then anybody on and off the stage! We like to call them our friends and family cause without the support from all of them, we would be nothing! Anybody who has been to our shows no we like to have fun! We are chill people that like to talk and get to know everybody!

7. What are you guys thinking before you go on stage?

Chris- There is a many things going threw my head. I always want a smooth show with no glitches or technical problems and the last thing is I tell myself I am going to give everything I have on this stage. This will get the crowd going and make them have a good time, plus wanting them to come back for more.

Alexander- I hope there is no mess ups and I am going to throw down harder then the last show.

Patrick- I want to move the crowd and hope that the people like our music!

Sam- Throw down as hard as I can and make an impression for the people we play for!

Kory- Ready to give everything that I got on stage to get the crowd going and make sure the show goes smooth! We are all based on energy, the more the crowd get into us, thus the crazier we get! When we play a show we never stop moving!!!

Family and friends is the name for all the people that support UntitledWeStand and that is what they call the people that support them. UntitledWeStand told me that to them fans are their family and friends. So if you go to a show they preform in and you are their fan, then to them they see you as their friend. LIKE THEIR BAND BECAUSE WE ALL NEED MORE FRIENDS IN THIS WORLD :)

Here are the questions I asked them and below are their group responces:

1. What inspired you to play music?

I would have to say that Ronnie Radke inspired me to start playing music. I have been listening to his music for three years now and I don't know if I would even be playing music if I never started listening to his music. His music to me is very inspirational.

2. How has music changed your life?

Music has had a effect on my life but it has not changed my life yet, the whole band hopes that music will change are lives and that we go far as a band.
3. What bands do you listen to and how has it influenced your music?

We listen to a variety of bands, from falling in reverse, asking alexandria, motionless in white, alesana, of mice & men and royal. For are bass player matt the red hot chili peppers. With the way are music is written instrumental wise, then yes.
4. What advice do you have for people that want to pursue in music?

The advice we can give for young musicians is just practice a lot and have confidence in your self.
5. Where did you get the name of your band?

Well Chris came up with the name, so i don't really know how he came up with it, but the name has meaning. YOU JUST HAVE TO GO TO THE SHOW TO FIND OUT.

6. What do you guys want your fans to know about you that they might know already?

That we changed are style a little from the demo to are ep. What we are writing right now is a lot better than what we wrote for the demo, some of the lyrics we have for the songs are just really good. One song we have been working on for the past few weeks is almost done and we might put up a 20 to 30 second clip of the song, just so people can hear what we are working on.
7. What do you guys think when you are on stage?

Well Josh and I are the only ones that have played a show, that was in are old band. I don't know what was going through Josh's head, but I am guessing it was don't forget the lyrics and for me it was don't forget the notes. I played bass in are old band.

Buried In Lies is a band that only sings the truth and so take a chance with them because they wont let you down. Go like their facebook page and the band will love you all the time (haha). No, but seriously I want everyone to like their page because they love you guys so much <3

Interview with Godless Requiem!!!

Here are the members of the band:

Mathieu Lantagne - Lead guitar & Vocals

Rafael Dagenais - Rythm guitar

Dave Savoie - Bass

Keven Filiatrault - Keyboard

Mathieu Gutierrez - Drum & Back vocals

Here are the questions I asked them and below is their group responses:

1. What inspired you to play music?

We always dreamed to play music in a band, to share our own songs, and our own music with everyone. We are very inspired by the things that happens in life, of flowers, like we can be inspired by the death of a close person to us.

2. How has music changed your life?

Personally (Mathieu Lantagne), it changed my life in every point. My brother and my father died recently, so I can play guitar by my feeling. My band to me is my family, we help some of them when they need it. We are now very close to each other.

3. What bands do you listen to and how have they inspired your music?

It depends, we all listen to different music. When we compose our song, we are very based on amon amarth, ensiferum, things like that. We dont want to copy them because we try to have our unique sound, but we try to keep the little folk, melodic death have catchy riffs.

4. What advice do you have for others that want to pursue music as their career?

We can't say we have a career yet, but I would say go by your feeling. Do what your fans want, by doing what you like. We do what we can and we learn by the crowd.

5. Where did you get the idea for the name of your band?

The name of the band, hehe. We were with our old line-up. We were talking about a name .. when Daud(the bassist) I think, Shoot ''Godless Requiem''.. We all did like .. wow .. it sounds really good !! We did not even know what it meant (Cause we are french). But when we discovered it, we really liked the meaning.

6. What do you want your fans to know about you guys that they might not know already?

We want them to know that we love them !! Haha :P:P
7. What are you guys thinking when your on stage?

Mathieu Lantagne (Singer/Lead guitar) : The only thing racing in my mind before going on stage is only to not miss my solo's and to remember my lyrics.

Rafael Dagenais (Rythm Guitar/Lead guitar) : Before a show, I always hope to impress people with what we do cause melodic death metal is now pretty rare, since everybody is trying to make some brutal death or deathcore. I also hope that we will be tight and we will hear each other, so we could do the best of ourself.

Keven Filiatrault (Keyboard) : The kind of stress before going on stage is just so a great feeling. So I just can't wait to play our set.

Daud Savoie (Bass): I try to think about nothing and relax.

Mathieu Gutierrez (drum/back vocal ) : I take it easy, just a little stressed, but I relax.

Godless Requiem is an interesting name for a band and if you are a person that likes music then you should take 5 minutes of your time and check out their music on their facebook page. It would allow you to witness the greatness called: Godless Requiem!!!

Music is a great outlet to relieve stress and forget about the hardships that you endure.
2. How has music changed your life?

Music has made us into the people that we are now. It has determined our friendships, career choices, and our outlook on life.
3. What bands do you guys listen to and how have they shaped your music?

Our taste in music varies amongst each member and each persons lists of bands/genres can go on for days. We are inspired by just about any kind of music that we hear around us, no matter what style.
4. What advice do you guys have for others that want to pursue in music as their career?

Our advice for those striving to make music as a career is do not see it as a career. See it as following your passions and dreams. Also, remember that music is not about IMAGE. Wearing certain things or acting a certain way does not make the music good. It is the music that comes from the heart that really moves people.
5. Where did you guys get the idea for the name of your band?

Our band is named after a book called "Watership Down" by an author named, Richard Adams. It is in essence, it is about a group of rabbits on a journey to discover happiness and develop their own unique culture. Like any band, the rabbits encounter insane hardships, so the name just seemed relevant.

6. What do you want your fans to know about you that they might not know already?

We would like everyone to know that we are real down-to-earth approachable people. We love everyone and would love to meet everyone who has ever listened to us or gone to a show!
7. What are you guys thinking before you go on stage?

Pj:
I would have to say it would be to play better then my last show. To keep myself progressing, plus hoping the crowd has fun moves around and don't just stand there lifeless.

Brandon: A lot of the time my mind will go blank and  I will just zone out. Then right before we go on, I will start thinking about how the crowd is going to react. What can I do to make the show more enjoyable and get them more involved, what worked from the previous show and what didn't work. Most of all I start thinking about how I am going to sound and start trying to hype myself up. So I will have a good night and hopefully give that feeling to everyone else.

Peter: I have not really thought about it much. When I was younger I would get super nervous before soccer/basketball games...especially ones that meant something (i.e. final game of the tournament), but with music,  I am not plagued with anxiety I am just on stage with some of my best friends doing what I love. All I can really hope for beyond that is that the crowd has as much fun as we do and that my equipment does not malfunction (I seem to be on a streak of bad luck).

Tyler:Anxiety does not kick in until I am on stage and our set is seconds away from kicking in. At that point, my fingers decide that they don't want to work. Once we get halfway through a song though, I am at ease. I go into a zone and the set is over in the blink of an eye.

Josh: I've played many, many shows and before each one I just let my mind be empty. I don't really have much running through my mind until 5 minutes before we go on. That is when the nerves hit me. It does not hit me in a negative way, it is more of a positive energy. I get really excited and my adrenaline starts to flow. Once on stage, I wish that I could be up there forever.

Andy: I think through every single song and part, like: Every switch I have to make on the synth and before I play the next song. After a quick run through of that, I pretty much blank out and absorb the crowd's energy (haha)

Watership Down is a band that you know you will be listening to even when you reach age 30 (haha). No, but seriously if you are not listening to Watership Down you might as well sink your ship because you are missing out. Yea so like their facebook band page because if you don't you might as well not listen to music as all!!!

Interview with Nick Durso (Lead Vocals,Guitars,Bass) for The Nurso Experience!!!

Here are the members of the band:

Vocals, Guitars, Bass - Nick Durso
Drums - Elmo

Nick Durso is representing the band and below are the responses to the questions I asked him:

1. What inspired you to play music?

I grew up in a family that is very talented in music. My grandmother plays piano. My dad, uncle, and all of my cousins play guitar. My dad also has played violin since he was very young. I love music, whether I'm just listening or playing.
2. How has music changed your life?

Music has been a constant in my life. I have been listening and playing music ever since I could comprehend what it was. Writing is a big part of my everyday life. Whether that involves playing my instrument or listening to other music for inspiration.
3. What bands do you listen to and how have they influenced your music?

The two biggest influences, regarding my writing style are A Plea For Purging and The Contortionist. Listening to them has made my writing style more "djent"-ish. Other bands that inspire me are Gwen Stacy, Means, Misery Signals, The Acacia Strain, and Oceano. I also listen to a lot of classical music. Mozart is my idol.
4. What advice do you have for others that want to pursue in music as their career?

I would tell them to just go for it. I can tell you that if you don't try, you will never know what will come out of it. I have had a lot of people come to me with "advice" on how to "make it". I always tell them, "I wouldn't know." (haha)
5. Where did you get the idea for the name of your band?

Back in high school, a friend of mine started switching the first letter of your first name and the first letter of your last name. For instance, my name, Nick Durso, would be Dick Nurso. Ever since then people have been calling me that, including my producer, Jordan. He asked me the first day of recording, "what are you going to call this? The Nurso Experience?" And it stuck.
6. What do you want your fans to know about you that they might know already?

I'm just making music that I would want to listen to. I never thought that people would actually like it. The Nurso Experience was just something for me to do when I'm not doing my other band stuff. I'm in the band NoLoveLost.
7. What are you thinking when you are on stage?

 Man, I have to piss.

The Nurso Experience is something you don't want to miss and for more information about The Nurso Experience, go like the facebook page. So be left out and once you find out what The Nurso Experience is, lets just say you won't want to go back to your boring meteorically lives!!!

Interview with Blameshift!!!!!!!

Here are the members of the band and their twitter pages!!!!:

Jenny Mann- Vocals @jennyblameshift
Tim Barbour- Guitar/vocals @timblameshift
Nathan Saake - Drums @NathanSaake
Vince Monticciolo - Bass @VinceBlameshift
I interviewed the band and below is their group response:

1. What inspired you guys to play music?

We all knew early on that we sucked at everything else and music was the only thing we ever could see ourselves doing. We all started out in different facets of music, but have brought them all together to create the sound we have. When you have music in your blood, it’s really hard to get it out!

2. How has music changed your life?

Well, it definitely has been a sacrifice to be able to do music full time. We have had to give up many things, but we get a lot given back to us in return. Just being able to travel the country and meet new people, while  spreading our music has been a life changing experience.

3. What bands do you guys listen to and how have they shaped your music?

We basically all listen to the same kind of bands. We love bands like 30 Seconds to Mars, Taking Back Sunday, Thrice, Blink 182, Jimmy Eat World, etc. We take a little bit of influence from everything we listen to and it definitely trickles over into our music. As a musician, you can take influence from any type of music.

4. Where did you guys get the idea for the name of your band?

Well our band name was kind of a fluke. James (who is no longer in the band), came up with it one night while we were sitting in his basement. We had a show the next day and needed a name still. We had thrown around a couple other possibilities, but we liked Blameshift the best. As it turns out, the name has come to represent us as a band because we love to blame each other for everything!!!

5. What advice do you have for others that want to pursue music as their career?

Hmmm…make sure you are prepared for a lot of hard work. A lot of people think that the music business is all about glitz and glamour, but it really is not the case. You have to literally work 24/7 and make little money at the beginning. We always tell people that you have to have your heart 100% into it if you really want to make a career out of music. Also, finding the right group of people is key. Everyone has to be on the same page and working towards the same goal!

6. What do you guys want your fans to know about you guys that they might not know already?

We want our fans to know that we appreciate their love and support more than anything. We literally would be nothing without our amazing fans. We also want people to know that even though our music is more on the serious side, we are a bunch of goofballs who love having fun and not acting our age.
 7. What is running through your mind when you guys are on stage?

Most of the time we are trying to be careful and not run into each other. There have been many shows where we have had stage injuries because we all like to run around on stage and end up banging into each other. Other than that, we just transform when we are on stage. No matter what we have gone through in the day, or what is on our mind, it all goes away when we are on stage. It’s an amazing feeling that is almost indescribable!

Lastly, “like” our facebook page and be friends with us. We will touring all fall and would love to meet everyone! Also, we are Hot Topic’s Band of the Month. They are featuring our new music video for “Ghost” on the site. You can check that out at- http://community.hottopic.com/content/band-month

Interview with Greyline!!!

Here are the members of the band:

Katie Toedter- Vocals

Brandon Fox- Guitar

Tom Brillhart- Bass

Sean McGee- Drums

Here are questions I asked each band member and below are there individual responses:

SEAN (Drums)
1. What inspired you to play music?

I started playing music in the 5th grade band. Ever since then I have been addicted to it. I played throughout middle school and high school. In high school, I participated in the jazz band where I really started on the drums. My dad also raised me on classic rock and blues. He actually played bass in a band in high school so, I thought it was awesome that we shared the same interests.
2. How has music changed your life?
Music gave me many memories. Being in the band in high school, we got to go on trips to Florida and New York. Music means everything to me. Music is the best thing that happened to me because I would not know where I would be without music and this band. I have met a lot of people, plus I have stories that make it all worth while.
3. What bands do you listen to and how have they shaped your music?
I listen to all types of music, ranging from blues to hardcore. I study various types of music for ideas about music and the beat of my drums. I think I listen to more of the mainstream area of music but, when I branch out it influences me to listen to more....and more.
4. What advice do you have for others that want to pursue in music as their career?
Although being in the music career is a very expensive and time consuming industry, it is all worth while if this is what you want to do with your life. It takes a lot of patience to be in a band or in the music industry. Don’t give up and follow your dreams. You may make mistake and have regrets but, don’t hold on to them. Let go and keep pushing forward!!!
5. Where did you get the idea for the name of your band?
We honestly don’t know where we came up with it. I think that the idea was more random and just had a ring to it. We also had some ideas for logos and merchandise that fit well with the name.
6. What do you want your fans to know about you that they might not know already?
          I LIKE SALSA!
7. What is racing through your mind before you go on stage?
Before we go on, “shit shit shit!” After the first note, “sweet!” (haha)

KATIE (Vocals)
1. What inspired you to play music?
I grew up listening to the music my parents played. I always wanted to be a singer because I would dance round the house singing to Celine Dion and the soundtrack to Evita. It was not until high school that I discovered rock music and wanted to be in a band because of it.
2. How has music changed your life?
It has definitely made me more confident plus, made me realize that I really can reach out to people :)
3. What bands do you listen to and how have they shaped your music?
I’m a die-hard Green Day fan!!! I also listen to stuff like Mumford and Sons and Bright Eyes (his lyrics are amazing). The variety of music out there is unreal. It makes me want to be a part of it. It has made me realize that it is hard to make your music stand out. Hard, but not impossible.
4. What advice do you have for others that want to pursue in music as their career?
First and foremost, be yourself. If you are lying to yourself then it is going to show through your music. Don’t give up ever, no matter what happens!
5. Where did you get the idea for the name of your band?
We honestly don’t know where we came up with it. I think that the idea was more random and just had a ring to it. We also had some ideas for logos and merchandise that fit well with the name.
6. What do you want your fans to know about you that they might not know already?
I have a fear of feet. Bring your feet anywhere near me and I die!!! (haha)
7. What is racing through your mind before you go on stage?
I freak out about little things: Will we get the transitions right? Will we be able to get the crowd moving? Things like that (haha). As soon as we start playing though, it all goes away and I am just ready to have a good time.

BRANDON (Guitar)
1. What inspired you to play music?
What first inspired me to play music was when I was 6 years old and I was walking into my borhters room while, he had some metal playing and that was the first time I ever felt any type of emotion from just music. So from then on, I wanted people to feel the same way I felt that day for music :)
2. How has music changed your life?
Music has given me something that I can finally do right and have fans that are supporting every step along the way. Well to me I am living my life and it is like a dream come true :)

3. What bands do you listen to and how have they shaped your music?
Well for starters, I must thank My Chemical Romance for saving my life a couple times, Aiden, Blink 182,  Slayer. I mean there is a long list, but those are all I can think of off the top of my head :)
4. What advice do you have for others that want to pursue in music as their career?
Fuck what anybody says to do and play what makes you happy. Other than that, don’t let people control your music.

5. Where did you get the idea for the name of your band?
We honestly don’t know where we came up with it. I think that the idea was more random and just had a ring to it. We also had some ideas for logos and merchandise that fit well with the name.

6. What do you want your fans to know about you that they might not know already?
I am a huge comic/anime Nerd, so buy me shit and me love you long time (haha)

7. What is racing through your mind before you go on stage?
“Shit… where is the bathroom" and "Fist up, Lets do this". Then I think of Leeroy Jenkins after these thoughts go through my head. Before any of this happens, Tom and I always have a cigar.

TOM (Bass)
1. What inspired you to play music?
I first started playing music when I was 12. My dad bought me my first guitar for my 12th birthday and soon after he passed away from cancer. He taught me the basics of playing guitar and I just figured I would follow through with it. When I was 14, I bought my first bass guitar with my own money and from there I just kept playing. So I would say my biggest inspiration would be my dad.
2. How has music changed your life?

Music has changed my life a lot and it is what I want to do for the rest of my life. I figured, why do something I don's wanna do (like sit at a desk 8 hours a day) when I can do something I love!
3. What bands do you listen to and how have they shaped your music?
I listen to a lot of different punk. Old/New… I just have a passion for it!
4. What advice do you have for others that want to pursue in music as their career?
DO NOT PLAY MUSIC IN TOLEDO, OHIO! Unless you play metal… There is a huge metal scene here in Toledo. But its not for us… Stick to the big cities!
5. Where did you get the idea for the name of your band?
We honestly don’t know where we came up with it. I think that the idea was more random and just had a ring to it. We also had some ideas for logos and merchandise that fit well with the name.
6. What do you want your fans to know about you that they might not know already?
That I am one sexy mother fucker!
7. What is racing through your mind before you go on stage?
Everytime before the show, I get chills running up and down my spine… I would say I am more anxious to get on stage and  play. There is nothing like the feeling of being up there, seeing the crowd singing the lyrics to your songs and jumping. It’s a huge adrenaline rush! I LOVE IT!

Greyline is a band full of suprises by each band member that I requested they answer the questions individually. So that the fans can figure out what each personality consists of :). Anyways, go like their band page because after reading this I want to be their best friend!!!!

Here are the members of the band:

Davis Pryse Snyder-Screams
Joshua Calhoun-Lead Guitar/Vocals
Ryan Joseph Gaspard- Rhythm Guitar
Matt Bares-Drums/Vocals
DJ Mason-Bass
Merch guy: Elijah Edwards
Here are the questions I asked them and they responded with a group response below:

1. What inspired you guys to play music?

We all love music. We all love the thrill of being on stage and getting to do something that we love. That is pretty much what got us into it and what keeps us doing it. Pretty simple :)

2. How has music changed your life?

Well we all work part time jobs and go to school part time. So music is kind of an escape from our day to day lives. It gives us a strong platform to express ourselves and something to look forward to in the future.

3. What bands do you guys listen to and how has it influenced your music?

We all come from a fairly wide range of musical influences from pop punk to deathcore and every other "core" in between. I would say as of right now some big influences on our music have been Of Mice & Men and Memphis May Fire. It is definitely giving our music a heavier feel, with some sick southern metal accents.
4. What advice do you guys have for people that want to pursue music as their career?

No matter what, just keep your head up. Its a hard business to get in to and there is gonna be a lot of obstacles. It is the ability to overcome those obstacles that will keep the band up and moving forward.
5. Where did you guys get the idea for the name of your band?

It is no secret that our name was inspired by the A Skylit Drive release "She Watched The Sky."
6. What do you guys want your fans to know about you that they might not know already?

Well we all absolutely love our fans. We would be nothing without there support, so I guess just letting them know how much they truly mean to us.

7. What is going through your mind when you guys are on stage?

We all get extremely excited before we go on stage. I've got a lot of adrenaline pumping through me and I just let it all out during our performance.

Take 5 minutes out of your sweet time to like She Watched The Sky on their facebook page because this band is really what makes you dream when you look at the sky ;)

Interview with Kenny King (Vocals) for In Fate We Trust!!!

Here are the members of the band and how to get connected with them:

Kenny King-Vocals

Adam Watson-Guitar

Here are the questions I asked him and below are his responses:

1. What inspired you to play music?

Living my life with my headphones in for sanity is what inspired me, seeing some of the best out there do what they do inspired me to make music. Music is the only thing that can make me sad, angry, happy, joyous ect... all at the same time. Leaving all my raw feelings on the stage is the best feeling in the world hands down.
2. How has music changed your life?

Music has gotten me through times that I never thought possible. Its saved me from myself in many instances, it is like meeting a random girl your never met just map your life out in a matter of minutes with their music and their words is just a surreal feeling sometimes. I swear some people wrote their songs with me in mind thats how accurate they can be. I wish to touch people on that level.
3. What bands do you listen to and how has it shaped your music?

The Devil Wears Prada has always been there to help me shape my vocals, hearing mike scream was always just lightening hitting my ears and I loved it. I listened to underoath when I first started screaming, but what they all showed me was to create your own sound and thats just what I have been trying to do. Now a days it is like Of Mice & Men, Motionless In White, Attila and just so many more. It is unreal because the list just goes on and on.

4. What advice do you have for others that want to pursue in music as their career?

To the others that are tryin to live their dream, never lose sight of what your doing it for. I do it for my family and my loved ones, for the music and to send a message that all is possible. When you put your heart and soul into it, never give up on your dreams because they will never give up on you. Stay true to you and what you believe and dont let anyone take it away from you.

5. Where did you get the idea for the name of your band?

As far as the band name, we went through countless ideas just sitting in practice and Zach said something like "In God we trust". We all sort of had the same ehhhhhhhhhh no look on our face and he spit out In Fate We Trust. We were like yeah thats better and boom thats how it started lol
6. What do you want your fans to know about you that they might not know already?

I want the fans to know that I am just a normal down to earth guy who was brought up with nothing just trying to make a name for myself and live out my inner most desires. Music is my passion because it always gets me and I want to make people feel the way music has made me feel. I do it for the fun and the challenge, but of course for all the fans who make everything possible. With out them I might as well just throw my music out the window, they are the flame to our torch!
7. What are you thinking when you are on stage?

The first thing to rush through my head before we go on is "kill it, give it your all just like last time and leave no stone unturned". I feel that anticipation as soon as I touch the mic and I just focus all my energy, plus emotion to my gut. I scream all my energy out and just try to make sure everyone in the crowd is feeling the power music puts out!

Kenny King puts his heart and passion to making the band: In Fate We Trust a memerable band that you can tell your children you knew who they were. I listen to their songs everyday and I can relate to every single one of their songs, as if it were song for me. If you take the time to like their page and listen to just one of their songs. You will be suprised how it relates to your life as if it was meant for you!!! Kenny mentioned that the fans of In Fate We Trust are the flame of the musical torch they carry everyday :)
