Interview with The Art of Silent War!!!!!!

Here are the band members in this band:
Stephanie - Vocals
Danny - Guitar
The highlighted names are the ones I was able to interview!!!!
Yay I was able to interview the whole band!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here are the questions I asked both of them together:
1. what inspired you to play music?
2. how has music changed your life?
3. what bands do you listen to and how have they shaped your music?
4. what advice do you have for others that want to pursue in music as their career?
5. where did you get the idea for the name of your band?
6. what do you want your fans to know about you that they might not know already?
7. If you could describe your band in one word what would it be?

This is what Stephanie Nesbitt and Danny Ortega said:

1. We have always thought music was an amazing medium and form of expression. We love learning about it, and there was always music around in our childhood. Stephanie Nesbitt quickly picked up the piano and then later learned the flute. It was never really a “choice” for us, it was just meant to happen!

2. I think we all go through this time period in our lives where we have this ridiculously huge need to express ourselves and be heard. We went through that tenfold and because of that we were able to use our songs to feel like we get a message across, or to feel like we spilled out our feelings. Plus to get things off our chest. We could share that with people and hopefully they enjoyed it because they could share it with me. That made a big difference in my our lives.

3. We kind of listen to everything. Our all time favorite is the Foo Fighters. But we grew up during the time when Nu-Metal was really starting to kick off! So we can’t help, but want edgier rock riffs and melodic vocal lines in my music. When we were really young, it was all pop music, so we really love to make things “pretty” too.

4. We are still looking for advice. In fact, if anyone has pointers for us that would be awesome. But if we had to say one thing, it would be know your craft. It’s not always just enough to be able to play. If you’re serious about it, you should learn all about it too.

5. The Art of Silent War is a lyric from the Incubus song “Blood on the Ground.” Danny and I are both very big fans of Incubus, and that song in particular has a very interesting meaning. It talks about having to “bite your tongue” because of the repercussions you might face with someone if you speak your mind.

6. We hope our fans know how much their opinion matters. We love to hear from people because at the end of the day, they are the ones listening and that means so much to us.

7. Expressive!
