Interview with Rush The Gates!!!!!

What inspired you guys to play music?   What inspired us to play music was our environment. We all have had many rough days and music was just one of those things that would calm us down. Creating something that is your own and having a personal relationship to it, is what we love to do. 2. How has music changed your life?   Music has changed our life in many ways and showed us how important it is to us. It has given us the freedom to let our emotions come through so that we could create what we want. Thus, just enabling us to see what music really is. 3. What bands do you guys listen to and how have they shaped your music?   Whitechapel, Chelsea Grin, Killswitch Engage, Suicide Silenced....the list goes on and on. They haven't so much shaped our music, but they have inspired us. We are in the same genre as them so we musicians learn from other musicians. 4. What advice do you have for others that want to pursue in music as their career?   The advice that we give is to never give up and make it a priority in your every day life. Don't get lazy with it: PROMOTE, always work on material, and think of new ways to improve it. Music is not a joke and not just anyone can do it well. 5. Where did you get the idea for the name of your band?   " Rush The Gates " Means to first chase your dreams, secondly catch it and lastly never let it go, unless it has been accomplished. As well as to conquer over everyone and be noun as a brutal force. 6. What do you want your fans to know about you guys that they might not know already?   We live for our music and love the support we get from it. We will always give back and are so very thankful that people like to hear us: EVERY SINGLE FAN MATTERS!!! 7. What is racing through your minds before you go on stage?   This statement is what is running through our heads for every single show we preform in: "This is what I love to do, This is what I was meant to do"
