Interview with Nigh is the Hour!!! :)

Here are the members of the band:

Eric Turner-Vox

Johnathan Ostrander-Guitar

Ken Carman-Guitar

Jon Kiernan-Bass

Jake Dietrich-Drums

Here are the questions I asked them and below is their group responses:

1. What inspired you guys to play music?

Spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ to a young generation through a way in which they understand and is culturally relevant. We remember going to concerts as kids and looking up to other bands thinking we wanted to be where they are. Now we have the privilege to do just that :)

2. How has music changed your life?

Each of us have individually been shaped by the music we have enjoyed over the years. For example, bands like The Devil Wears Prada played a big role in leading me to salvation through Jesus. Many bands we listen to daily challenge us to be better and more grounded in our faith!!!

3. What bands do you guys listen to and how have they shaped your music?

Our major influences are For Today, August Burns Red, Ace Augustine, The Gun Show,.....many more of course. It is bands like these that influence us in the writing process of our songs both musically and lyrically.

4. What advice do you guys have for others that want to pursue in music as their career?

They would have to be committed!!! Make sure you get along with all of the members of your band and are willing to listen to others ideas. To those who are just starting out; don't give up because its a rough career. Be willing to sacrifice time, money, and energy.

5. Where did you guys get the idea for the name of your band?

It is actually the lyrics from the band: The Crimson Armada. However, we view the name with a biblical meaning :)

6. What do you guys want your fans to know about you that they might not know already?

Our vocalist is a movie geek and wants to pursue a career in nursing after the band. Both guitarists have the most heated fifa rivalry. Our drummer always wears mickey mouse shirts and cargo shorts. Our bassist sleeps 18 hours a day.

7. What do you guys think when you are on stage?

The final run through of the set list. How the crowd is and if all our equipment is going to work properly. Basically just nerves worrying if everything will run smoothly and how the crowd will like us. We always pray before we play so we definitely have spiritual concerns for all the people at the show.

Nigh is the Hour is a band that makes you those who have a spirtual connection to shout their love for faith to the roof tops. They love people that don't have a spirtual connection because they are just an open-minded band that cares about everyone and I just found out some fummy stuff about each band member that you might want to know. So like their band page and read this interview!!!! YOU WILL MISS OUT IF YOU DONT :)
