Interview with To Believe In Ghosts!!!

I interviewed the whole band!!!! and below are their responses to the questions I asked them :) :

1. What inspired you guys to play music?

Well what inspired us was just seeing our favorite bands on stage doing their thing and having fun at the same time :). We all developed an interest in music because it was the one thing that really stood out to any of us.
When your born with a natural talent for something, you want to pick that talent up, make it better and run with it. If not, then dedication and drive can bring you along way.

2. How has music changed your life?

It has made us happier because we feel like there is always something there that we can turn to no matter what is going on in our lives. It is awesome to get to do something with your best friends, plus it is awesome that we get to make new friends all the time. Without this band most of us probably would have never met each other :(. Meeting people online and at shows also makes it so much more worth it. Music in general just makes us happier and I would say most of us are listening to music all day long. Some of us still buy CD's because we want to support music the way it supports us.

3. What bands do you guys listen to and how have they influenced your music?

Bands that we'd say shape our music is definitely Motionless In White and Alesana. They are both so original and make their own way of doing things. We are obviously in the music scene by following that whole dark look, black, makeup etc... and the bands we listen to are all different. We all have different taste in music ranging from Katy Perry, Of Mice and Men, Guns N Roses, HIM, The Faceless, to.... X-Zibit.

4. What advice do you guys have for others that want to pursue music as their career?


Try hard to accomplish your goals. Have fun, but dont let small things ruin something you have going on. You might have to lose a friend because they are in the way of your dreams. Friends will come and go, but that one aspiration will always be there for you to pursue, so just follow your dreams, and try not to let anything bother you.

5. Where did you guys get the name of your band from?

Well back in January when Jordan started the band he was trying to think of names and he really
loved the idea of ghosts and wanted to work upon that. While he was listening to Motionless In White's first EP and heard the line "A Brilliant Suicide From You Is All I Want", it made him think of a name that lead to the creation of: To Believe In Ghosts. He talked to former band mates about it and it became the name. So there is no real deep meaning because we all just dig darker things ;).

6. What do you want your fans to know about you guys that they might not know already?

I guess we just want people to know that were straight up. Not scared to offend people and not trying to conform to any kind of music. No matter if we get tons of hate, we will keep playing because it is what we love to do :)!!!!

 7. What does each band member think when there on stage?

"It feels like you just drank a bunch of energy drinks and your pumped." - Robbie

"Well before hand I am a little nervous and excited,
but once we get into setting up everything on the stage and
doing sound check. Everything just seems to disappear in the moment
and before you know it you are playing your set list." - Joey

"Hella pumped when I get on stage, instincts just kick in and that is where
my stage presence kicks in, plus I have a great time." - Kodi

"Well I have the most stage experience in the band, so my
answer will probably be different then everyone else's.
It just really depends what is going on, the last few shows
we were prepared pretty well so I just get really excited to get
up there and show what we got. When were not ready or something goes
wrong it is like wow I really wish we could try again." - Jordan

Stefan, Vin, and Cam have yet to play a show, but their first show
will definitely be one to remember!!!!


I believe that real music that hits you in the heart comes from one band alone and if you haven't guessed already that is: To Believe In Ghosts!!!! After listening to them, you will realize that going to their shows and liking their page will make your music taste buds complete.
